Thi s is the most straight forward scenario for the Systel 16. In this scenario we have a single studio that we want to have multiple lines into. Assuming we wanted to have a physical handset then we could use the Cisco SPA 502G handset or SystelSet+ handset (which would take one IP line) meaning we could still have 15 simultanous calls from our SIP lines. We could also have each call coming up on an individual fader or have all the calls mixed onto a single fader.
Another option would be to share the Systel 16 functionality between two physical studios.
In this scenario we would put a Cisco SPA 502G handset or SystelSet+ in each studio and assign 7 additional linesso the Systel would emulate having a multiple TBUs in each studio.
The advantage to this scenario is it would be possible using the Systel's 'show' feature to sometime have 15 IP lines available in Studio 1 at the expense of having none in Studio 2. This would be ideal if most of the time you wanted a multiple phone lines in each but for occassional shows you needed additional lines in your on-air studio.
You can also use the Systel 16 to provide one or lines to multiple studios. This is especially useful if your mixing desks are equiped with Dante AoIP. If your mixers are not Dante enabled then low cost Dante interfaces are available.
